Synectics to Preview New Synergy Release at Counter Terror
Source: Synectics
Global surveillance business Synectics has announced it will preview the new Synergy 3 ‘Gold’ release at this year’s Security and Counter Terror Expo 2016.

Visitors to stand L41 will be among the first in the world to see live demonstrations of this enhanced version of Synectics’ Synergy 3 software – which features a suite of new capabilities designed to aid operator productivity and reactiveness.

Incident management tools have been reviewed and expanded, with new features including the ability to bookmark activity (supporting collaborative investigation), and create commentary in the video timeline for improved incident context during evidentiary review.

The latest evolution of Synergy 3 also now enables users to integrate real-time social feeds and links to Government Threat Level Indicators, for heightened situational awareness. Workflow creation, metadata recording, data mining and statistical reporting capabilities have also all been enhanced to aid effective incident investigation, management and review.

The latest evolution of Synectics’ field-proven technology also features in-built health check monitoring as an additional level of resilience to prevent system downtime.

Group demonstrations of Synergy 3’s expanded functionality and one-to-one sessions will be available throughout the show.

David Aindow, Product and Technology Director at Synectics, said: “Security and Counter Terror Expo aims to support those responsible for protecting people and assets from all forms of threat. It’s an ethos so closely aligned with our technologies that it is a real privilege to attend and showcase solutions that have the potential to make a vital difference to mission critical operations such as transport and infrastructure projects, oil and gas developments and high security locations.”

As well as previewing the latest Synergy 3 release, Synectics’ will also be using the expo to offer visitors a first look at its new range of IP cameras including a PTZ, Vandal Resistant Dome and Box Camera. Synectics has developed all new cameras to include backfilling as standard, which is unique to the brand.

Standard features for all cameras include tamper detection, true wide dynamic range, guaranteed real-time, 1080p HD, 60fps, H.264 and all are ONVIF Profile S compliant.

Also on show will be the COEX C3000 Thermal PTZ camera station with a rated temperature of 70 degrees C and Synectics display wall solutions.

David continued: “Understanding needs and developing solutions that meet specific requirements in real world conditions is vitally important – innovation has to have a purpose. Our latest Synergy 3 release and the new Synectics cameras have been developed to meet challenges we know our customers are facing on a daily basis, like how to safeguard from data loss through backfilling technology. Their purpose is to make security, safety and incident management more efficient and effective.”

As well as being able to attend one-to-one demos of Synectics’ solutions, visitors to stand L41 will also be able to pick up a range of whitepapers covering topics including: offshore threat detection, critical infrastructure, airport surveillance best practice, marine surveillance and camera trends.
