Synectics to Demonstrate Latest Technology at Counter Terror 2015
Source: Synectics
Visitors to the Synectics stand (P41) at this year’s Counter Terror Expo 2015, will be able to learn more about the surveillance expert’s latest solutions for protecting mission critical environments for oil and gas, marine, transportation and critical infrastructure.

Synectics will be demonstrating its intelligently integrated command and control platform - Synergy 3 – as well as its leading camera stations for both hazardous and safe area environments.

Synergy 3 and its open architecture platform provide an elevated approach to systems integration. Operators have the ability to control and manage integrated security and safety edge devices (visual, audio and data) from a range of third party vendors in a single, unified command and control environment.

David Aindow, Product & Technology Director with Synectics, said: “Integration is more than physically connecting disparate security and operational systems – data needs to ‘make sense’. A single control environment allows operators to differentiate the ‘meaningful’ from the ‘meaningless’ with a complete situational overview and make truly informed decisions’.

With Synergy 3’s fully customisable GUI users can create task-orientated layouts based on site’s individual requirements, and user-driven dynamic workflows guide operators through the appropriate responses to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Synectics has recently secured the contract to supply an integrated command and control solution with Synergy 3 for Terminal 3 Ultimate at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. The solution will monitor and manage more than 6,000 integrated safety and security edge devices from a range of sub-systems; including CCTV cameras, access control panels, fire alarm points, baggage x-ray scanners and intelligent video analytics.

Synectics will also be showcasing the latest additions to its camera station range, including the C3000 HD IP and C2000 Trimode.

High definition image capture and on-board compression technology - removing the need for separate encoder units - make the ruggedised C3000 HD IP hazardous area camera station ideally suited to protecting challenging environments. The camera stations – certified to international standards including CSAus, CSA Canadian, IECEx, ATEX and EAC-TR CU – are capable of capturing and streaming high quality 1080p video signals in temperatures up to +70oC and as low as -55oC.

Synectics’ C2000 Trimode offers three light-condition operating modes in one unit, enabling seamless switching between colour, mono and thermal imaging depending on application requirements. Its corrosion resistant housing and DNV certification make the C2000 Trimode particularly suited to marine applications.
