HID Global and ActivIdentity Showcase Innovative Authentication and Credential Management Solutions at CARTES Asia 2011

Hong Kong, March 28, 2011 – CARTES Asia 2011 (Hall 3, Booth 3E27) – HID Global, trusted leader in solutions for the delivery of secure identity, will showcase its leading portfolio of logical access and credential management solutions at tomorrow’s CARTES Asia 2011 in AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong. With HID Global’s recent acquisition of ActivIdentity, a global leader in authentication and credential management, HID is expanding its offering to deliver a unique portfolio of strong authentication, single-credential solutions for organizations seeking advanced yet convenient security. In addition to highlighting solutions for physical and logical access convergence and its advanced generation FARGO direct-to-card printer, HID Global will also present “Emerging Strategic Retail Banking Needs and Instant Financial Card Issuance” at a seminar session.

HID Global will feature its extensive suite of technologies, products and solutions in Hall 3, Booth 3E27 at the AsiaWorld-Expo from March 29-31, 2011. Key HID Global demonstrations at CARTES Asia 2011 include:

? HID on the Desktop – HID Global’s logical access solution is designed to deliver convenience for the user, simplicity for the IT manager and a higher level of logical access security for the organization. The single credential can be used as a photo ID badge, as a “key” that opens doors and as a second authentication factor for logging into the IT infrastructure. It allows organizations to leverage existing physical access cards to deploy an additional layer of security using smart card technology.
? ActivIdentity ActivID Card Management System (CMS) – Demonstrations will include the installation, configuration and deployment of ActivID CMS. The solution issues and manages the lifecycle of PIV Cards for the delivery of fully integrated physical access control and IT security solutions.
? Printing and Encoding Solutions – HID will showcase its entire line of FARGO printer/encoders, including high definition HDP5000 and HDPii printers; and the new DTC1000, DTC4000 and DTC4500 direct-to-card printer/encoders. The next-generation line of intuitive, reliable and scalable FARGO direct-to-card printers includes optional field-upgradeable modules to scale to future printing requirements and higher levels of smart card security.

During the Cards and Payment seminars session of CARTES Asia 2011, HID Global will present “Emerging Strategic Retail Banking Needs and Instant Financial Card Issuance:”
? Kenneth Cheung, director of sales, secure issuance, North Asia with HID Global, will illustrate how the changing customer behaviors shape the landscape of the payment card market and how desktop financial card printers address the demands during his presentation to be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 from 12:00 - 12:30 p.m. in Room 2, Hall 3 at AsiaWorld-Expo.
