Source: HID Global
SYDNEY, Australia – Security 2010 (Booth #D33) – August 30, 2010– HID Global, trusted leader in solutions for the delivery of secure identity, today announced it will showcase the latest advances and offerings in physical access, logical access and secure issuance solutions at this week’s Security 2010. In addition to demonstrating its broad portfolio of products and previewing the new line of FARGO? Direct-to-Card printers, David Giannetti, director of sales in Australia and New Zealand at HID Global will address the benefits and considerations associated with open architecture access control solutions and illustrate the system implementation with recent case studies.

HID Global will showcase its extensive suite of products, technologies, resources and partnerships for secure identity-related applications at Booth #D33 at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre from September 1-3, 2010. Key HID Global demonstrations at Security 2010 include:

New Printing and Encoding Solutions: HID Global is demonstrating its new family of intuitive, modular, reliable and scalable FARGO Direct-to-Card printers, which offer solutions for creating customized photo IDs and encoding smart cards. Each FARGO model includes optional field-upgradable modules to scale to future requirements and works seamlessly with other HID products and technologies to optimize security and interoperability. In addition, HID Global will display the FARGO HDP5000 printer/encoder, which is the market leader for high definition printing and secure issuance.

Reader Migration Solutions: Genuine HID TM customers benefit from cost-effective and reliable solutions for seamlessly transitioning to high frequency technology. With readers that accept diverse card populations, HID Global provides organizations with an easy path to migrate from legacy access control installations to contactless smart card technology.

Genuine HID Credential Solutions: Booth displays will highlight high-quality, Genuine HID contactless and contact smart cards that enable users to seamlessly manage multiple applications and migration projects through a single credential containing diverse technologies.

Networked Access Solutions: HID Global's networked access solutions, including the award-winning Edge IP-based access control hardware, represent a revolution in IP-enabled access control solutions. Designed to meet the demands of open architecture, IP-centric environments, Edge provides fully distributed intelligence and decision making right to the door, leveraging the existing IT infrastructure to the maximum extent possible.

HID on the Desktop: HID on the Desktop allows organizations to leverage existing physical access cards to deploy an additional layer of security using smart card technology. As a three-component solution – Genuine HID contact and contactless smart cards, readers and credential management software – HID on the Desktop provides corporate enterprises and government agencies with the flexibility to deploy the most “risk-appropriate” authentication solution based on their unique security requirements.

During a Security 2010 track session, HID Global will discuss
David Giannetti, director of sales in Australia and New Zealand at HID Global, will present “Access Control with Open Architecture Solutions”, where he will explore how to assist enterprises with VertX, an open architecture, IP access based solution that fully integrates access control within host software for remote access management and report generation. Recent customer cases will also be discussed to illustrate the system implementation and the possibilities for future upgrade. This track session presentation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on September 1, 2010 in Hall 5 of the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre.
