Maintenance tips of ATM surveillance
At present, ATM surveillance host has two models. One is Yuantuo 4-5 channel model and the other is Dahua single channel model (installed before November, 2004). Embedded host of Yuantuo can simultaneously display the images of two channels: front side (first channel) and banknote output feed (second channel) images. They need to be searched respectively during the playback. However, Dahua host only displays the front side (first channel) image and only when the banknote output opens will it switch to the second channel (banknote output feed).

Ⅱ ATM surveillance maintenance of Yuantuo host
The major failures are:
1. No images；
2. No recording or keep recording；
1. No images
(1) To check the line to see whether there is a virtual connection or an open circuit；
(2) To test whether 12V power supplied to video camera from the host is normal or not.
2. No recording or keep recording
To check whether the setting of host is correct or not； whether it is the whole-day motion detection recording； whether the setting of motion detection range is reasonable.

Ⅲ. Host time can’t be stored
It may because that the motherboard battery has no power. You can use the multi-meter to test the battery voltage. If it is abnormal, you can change batteries to try again. If it fails for the third time, it may because that the host is broken.
1. Images can’t switch
To check whether the recording channel of the alarm recording is the second channel or not； whether the time-lag setting of the video is 10 seconds. If not, change it to 10 seconds and try again. If it fails for the third time, to check whether the 15 wire tips plugged in the host are broken. The connection of 15 wire tips is: 1 and 6 are connected together； 5 is connected to Negative while 7 is connected to Positive. If there is nothing wrong with them, it might because that the banknote output sensor is broken, you can check and fix it. (1, 2, 3, 4 wire tips are alarm inputs； 6, 7, 8 wire tips are a group of outputs. Some 6, 7 wire tips are normal close and 7, 8 wire tips are normal open； some others are just the opposite.)
2. No images on the video camera
Firstly, checking the AV line to see whether it is firmly and correctly connected. If everything is normal, then to check whether the 12V power is in proper working； if nothing is wrong, to check whether the power of the video camera is plugged in firmly； if it is normal, there might be something wrong with the video camera. Exchanging the positions of these two video cameras to see whether there is any image on the cameras and thus to judge whether there is something wrong with the video camera or line or the host.
3. Unrecognizable codes appear on the ATM time
Such time as 20A4 might appear on the host. If you want to search the previous recordings in this host, you can push back from current time and you may find the needed data.
4. The host keeps recording.
First, taking a look at the timing-set to see whether it is “close” or not. If not, then change it into “close”. If it is, then check the motion detection range to see whether it is over large and adjust it properly and try again. If it still doesn’t work, it might because that the host is broken.
5. Hard disks in conflict with no recording
There might be something wrong with software, you can try to upgrade it. But it also can be hard disk’s problem. You can open the host and unplug the hard disks respectively to check. When hard disks are in conflict and you need to search the recordings, please install one hard disk respectively to search.
6. Installation and replacement of hard disks
If you want to install the two hard disks on two IDEs, you must set both of them as the master disks. If both of them are installed on one IDE, you must respectively set them as master and slave. If one of them is broken, you should first dismantle the broken one and restart the machine and then shut it down. After that, you can install new hard disks and turn on the machine.
Installation of sensor components
Material: a vibration detector, a human activity detector and a note-issuing sensor
Connection: vibration detector and human activity detector both have their own signal threads and power threads. Power threads are connected to sensor power. One end of the signal thread is connected to the sensor and the other one should be connected to the surveillance host according to the connecting method in the instruction book.
Installation requirements:
Image video camera: this camera doesn’t set a surveillance hole. See picture 3-4. To choose a proper position and replace the white glass there and then stick on a one-way vision to fix the video camera.
Banknote output video camera: installation method is just the same as image video camera’s. When confirming the installation position, pay attention that banknote denominations should be seen clearly；
Generally speaking, the installation position of note-issuing video camera is fixed. It is usually installed on the edge of the up board of ATM rear console. Adjusting the position to make it align with the note box (when it is issuing the notes).
Installation of human activity detector
To install the debugged human activity detector inside the ATM (it is better to be installed near the customer) and then fix it.
Installation of vibration detector
To fix the debugged vibration detector on the backside of the front board of the ATM (suggested) or on the side board.
Installation of note-issuing sensor
Adhesives can be used to fix the note-issuing sensor on the doorframe.
The installation position of the note-issuing sensor can be receded appropriately to the reed switch. As long as it can respond to the box door’s switch motions correctly, it is done. In this way, it can extend the reed’s operating life.
