Features of ATM surveillance industry
Application area: surveillance and prevention of ATMs
If both ATM surveillance system and ATM protection system are installed, surveillance and protection of ATMs can achieve the following goals:
It can improve bank’s image and beautify the environment. It can prevent financial crimes and ensure the normal and safe transaction on ATMs as well as help the ATM management staff grasp the on-site situations accurately. In addition, it will prevent destructive behaviors on ATMs, protect bank’s benefits and reduce disputes between banks and cardholders. Moreover, it can also record the image data of people using ATMs to prevent card thefts, protect the safe use of credit card accounts and provide reference for ex-post analysis of incidents.
As to the spacing ATMs, surveillance camera should be installed on the protective door to make the video camera hidden behind the toughened glass thus to avoid any modifying or drilling on the machine and prevent jams caused by dust and sand or people on purpose. The installation of surveillance can also prevent ATM protective doors from being destroyed and make ATM surveillance and ATM protective door guard together to ensure the safety and reliability and resolve all worries of using ATMs.
Using process:
1. To turn on the power switch of ATM intelligent surveillance protection system, and then the glass door will auto open and close once and thus the initialization test process is done.
2. When the depositor approaches the ATM and human activity detector detects human proximity signal, the system will transform the pre-recording image of the main camera into video image to start to record and store. (In normal situation, the system has pre-recordings in the main camera. The video interval can be adjusted in the preset range according to image’s size and quality.)
3. After removing the credit card, you can also do the normal operation on the ATM. Meanwhile, the language device will give a prompt to inform you of related ATM user flow and attentions.
3.1. When the depositor breaks the ATM, vibration sensor will raise the alarm and the system will emit a warning signal in the local place and call the surveillance center under network conditions. It will continue to capture the main camera, and meanwhile, the protective door can be set to close. After the alarm is raised, vibration sensor will return to normal pre-recording state.
3.2. The depositor plugs in the card and is ready to have a valid operation. The system captures card number and overlays it on the recorded images. Then the depositor chooses the withdrawal service. Before banknotes output, banknote output sensor senses output actions and alarm. The system will switch to the banknote output feed and capture. As soon as it is done, banknote output sensor alarm finishes and the system will return to normal pre-recording state.
