A look back at the Middle East security market in 2022

Although slightly varying depending on the socio-politic and economic conditions in the region, 2021-2022 saw growth in several verticals in the Middle East market. The oil and gas sector has always been the strongest vertical in the Middle East and along with construction infrastructure, this continued to attract demand for the security industry. Another key vertical was smart cities and communities as governments in the region prioritized this transition with major development projects such as Saudi Vision 2030 and Egypt Vision 2030 taking place, and advanced security an important priority for building future cities. Growth in sectors such as commercial buildings, banks, healthcare, and hospitality has also been driven by the regional government's efforts to implement regulations and standards for security systems in the region.
