Cross Match Technologies, a provider of biometric identity solutions, is delivering its mobile rapid ID solution to local law enforcement in Martin County.
The solution enhances mobile biometric identification programs for law enforcement agencies seeking to quickly verify subjects' identities in the field. The system includes the verifier, which is the first FBI-certified device for mobile fingerprint capture, and ID software. Designed for wireless mobile fingerprint capture, the system delivers standards-based, forensic-quality images.
“Using wireless technology, the solution transfers fingerprint data to a host device, such as a mobile data terminal,” said Mike Oehler, VP of Product Management for Mobile Biometrics at Cross Match. “The biometric data can then be submitted to AFIS for fingerprint identification and the search results are displayed on the scanner.”
