INSTEK DIGITAL i2DP | INSTEK DIGITAL DISASTER PREVENTION
Video surveillance can be vulnerable to interruptions cause by network drop, hardware failure and human error. The consequences can be disastrous and costly. Instek Digital therefore has developed a high level of risk mitigation solution - i2DP (Instek Digital Disaster Prevention).
i2DP is an innovative solution for disaster prevention that offers signification benefits for reliable video surveillance systems. Video surveillance systems are expected to be reliable - but regardless of how reliable it may be - there will always be a number of inherent risks. These risks can have serious repercussions and are unavoidable even in the most reliable video surveillance systems. This is why it is essential to have a sound backup solution.
Instek Digital is aware of the importance of a fail-safe video surveillance system and developed i2DP. Instek Digital Disater Prevention helps to reduce risk and minimize downtime in the event of a disaster. This solution includes the following four elements: Power DOM, Archive Server, Video Reclaim and Failover.
Archive Server
• Real-time remote backup for Instek Digital's (h)DVR and NVR
• Supports RAID-5 and RAID-6 for video data protection
• Quick search and playback on archived video data
• Concurrently archive for multiple cameras from various Instek Digital's (h)DVR and NVRs
Video Reclaim
• Automated IP video redundancy solution
• Seamless detection of network failure between IP camera and NVR
• Activate camera on-board recording upon network failure
• Automatic video data transfer from camera to NVR when network resumes
Power DOM
• Embedded NVR software
• No single point of failure
• Plug and play
• Embedded Linus OS for excellent stability and virus protection
Failover
• Data loss prevention
• N + S architecture
• Maximize system uptime
• Proactive health check
• Automatically overtake NVR recording or Global Administrator functionality in case of failure
