Hikvision Redundant System DVRs Won the “Golden Excellence Award” at CPSE 2011

November 23, 2011 Hikvision, the world’s leading supplier of video surveillance products and solutions announced that its new series DVRs with redundant systems –the DS-9100HFI-ST series and the DS-8100HWI-ST series won the “Golden Excellence Award” at CPSE (China Public Security Expo) 2011, which was held from Oct 29 to Nov 1, by the exhibition committee.
The Golden Excellence Award, granted by China Public Security Expo, is the highest honor of China public security industries. It selects the most outstanding & innovative products in the security industry, so as to provide an excellent opportunity for global buyers to reach the most prominent front-end high-tech products.
Among the notable features, the Hikvision new series DVRs have an innovative design utilizing dual systems – one in operation and the other providing a continual backup. If the main system crashes, the back-up system is activated immediately, so ensuring that no data is lost and the DVR continues to function in a stable manner. The user does not even notice any operational problems and the switch-over to the secondary system is instantaneous. Based on Texas Instruments’ Netra high performance embedded platform, the redundant system DVRs allows enhanced system stability, improved video quality and more flexible HDD management than the previous models.
