Mirasys announces a distribution agreement with Videotecnica, who will be responsible for the delivery of Mirasys product range on the Italian market. The agreement will enable customers to take advantage of the flexibility and open approach provided by the Finnish company.

The two companies started collaborating in 2006 after a careful market analysis: the Italian distributor was looking for a high performance IP video surveillance solution with megapixel – and particularly H.264 – support . Mirasys, with its open architecture and manufacturer independent software, was found to be the right choice.

"After an initial analysis and a trial phase, we have found the reliability and ease of use and maintenance offered by Mirasys solutions to be optimal", says Vincenzo Di Serio from Videotecnica. "Mirasys offers a complete range of video surveillance solutions through which existing analog systems can be easily upgraded to IP and Megapixel technologies. Mirasys solutions are resolution independent and work extremely well with third party applications."

Videotecnica's aim is to provide system integrators and installers with an IP video surveillance solution that is open, scalable and ideal for any market segment. Videotecnica's experience ranges through extensive projects in city video surveillance, logistics and the private market.

"We are happy to have signed the partnership agreement with Videotecnica, whose experience on the Italian market will help us promote our solutions on the competitive CCTV field", comments Kim L?ngstr?m, VP Sales Mirasys. "Mirasys guarantees an easy migration towards IP technology with our easy-to-use software and innovative and sophisticated solutions. Furthermore, Mirasys is the first NVR provider to support H.264 compatible IP cameras from a wide range of manufacturers.”
