Intersec Shanghai 2025 concluded successfully on 15 May after three days of productive trade and collaboration at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Co-located with the Yangtze River Delta International Emergency Disaster Reduction & Rescue Expo (EDRR), the two fairs drew an impressive 512 exhibitors and 62,106 visits from 27 countries and regions, establishing an important hub for the security, fire protection, and workplace safety sectors in China. Intersec Shanghai featured innovative solutions aimed at enhancing safety, efficiency, and disaster preparedness, reflecting the country’s growing role in global technological advancement. The rising adoption of intelligent systems and automation also created opportunities for international partnerships and investment.

“Launching Intersec Shanghai is a key step to advance innovation and strengthen cooperation across China’s security, safety, and emergency response sectors,” said Mr Edward Che, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. “Through Messe Frankfurt’s global network and expertise, we facilitated meaningful engagement between international exhibitors, overseas delegations, and key stakeholders in China’s safety market. The outstanding engagement reflects a strong commitment to adopt forward-thinking strategies that enhance protective measures and reduce risks, contributing to safer and more sustainable communities.”

The global security landscape is changing rapidly, driven by advancements in digitalisation and intelligent systems. Speaking on this, Mr Kevin Lee, President of CCPIT shared: “Intersec Shanghai presented innovative developments in safety, firefighting, and workplace protection. We were proud to welcome representatives from domestic emergency management and fire rescue departments, as well as emergency response authorities from Brazil, Italy, India, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and other countries and regions. Together, we exchanged ideas, built collaboration, and reviewed new technologies transforming the security industry.”

Spanning 13,000 sqm, the exhibition featured a comprehensive range of solutions in public safety, fire prevention, industrial protection, and crisis management, with a strong emphasis on AI- and IoT-enabled applications. Exhibitors such as Crun Hydraulic & Lubrication, Raythink, and Tyco highlighted innovative products, including high-end wind and solar energy equipment, infrared thermal imaging systems, and security platforms for fire control and automation, all aimed at enhancing safety and efficiency. The debut edition received positive feedback from exhibitors:

“Safety is an essential human need, and we are committed to equipping individuals with tools that enable them to operate with confidence and precision. Our training systems use real-time data to help commanders and firefighters respond effectively to emergencies, enhancing efficiency while reducing training time, costs and risks.
