Check Point's CPX Bangkok 2025: A new era of cybersecurity, AI integration and partnerships

Check Point's CPX Bangkok 2025: A new era of cybersecurity, AI integration and partnerships
The event underscored the company’s efforts to solidify its standing as a leading cybersecurity player while addressing the challenges of an increasingly hyper-connected digital world.
At CPX Bangkok 2025, Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. laid out its vision for the future of cybersecurity, signaling both a leadership transition and a bold pivot toward artificial intelligence (AI) and strategic collaborations. The event underscored the company’s efforts to solidify its standing as a leading cybersecurity player while addressing the challenges of an increasingly hyper-connected digital world.

Leadership transition: A new vision for growth

A key moment at CPX Bangkok was the introduction of Check Point’s new management team, led by newly appointed CEO Nadav Zafrir. His appointment marks a transition from the Gil Schwed era, as Schwed — Check Point’s founder and now Executive Chairman — steps back from daily operations after leading the company since its inception.

Schwed took the stage to reflect on Check Point’s three-decade journey in securing the digital frontier. His address went beyond past achievements, setting the stage for the company’s next phase under new leadership.

In his keynote speech, Zafrir outlined his vision for Check Point’s future, emphasizing innovation, collaboration, transparency, and agility. “I have been in cybersecurity for almost 30 years — long before it was even called 'cyber' — and I’ve seen the industry from multiple perspectives: as an attacker, a defender, and from a strategic point of view, understanding the needs of large-scale infrastructure at the national level,” he said. Zafrir’s vision centers on scalable, responsible cybersecurity solutions that address the growing complexity of today’s digital world.

AI’s role in shaping cybersecurity’s future

The dominant theme of CPX Bangkok was Check Point’s strategic embrace of AI to counter the rising complexity of cyber threats. As digital connectivity expands, cyberattacks have grown in volume, sophistication, and speed. In response, Check Point is integrating AI across its product suite to enhance threat detection, prevention, and response.

Emerging threats, driven by state-sponsored actors and organized cybercriminals, are increasingly leveraging AI, particularly in ransomware attacks and deepfake-driven cybercrime. CPX Bangkok highlighted how AI will shape cybersecurity by enabling real-time threat prediction and automation, reducing reliance on manual interventions.

As part of this strategy, Check Point introduced Infinity Copilot, an AI-powered platform designed to help businesses manage complex cybersecurity environments. The system provides proactive insights, policy recommendations, and automated threat monitoring, reducing human error while increasing efficiency.

The company also showcased AI-driven security policy management tools like Policy Insights, which allow security teams to continuously refine and enforce policies based on predictive analysis. This AI-driven infrastructure ensures smarter, faster, and more scalable cybersecurity solutions for businesses of all sizes.

Strategic collaborations: A networked approach to security

While AI represents the future of cybersecurity, Check Point acknowledges that no single company can combat modern cyber threats alone. As part of its strategy, the company is forming key collaborations with industry leaders to build a more holistic security ecosystem.

One of the most significant partnerships announced at CPX Bangkok was Check Point’s collaboration with Wiz, a leading provider of Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP). The goal is to enhance cloud security by offering end-to-end visibility and proactive threat detection across multi-cloud environments.

With businesses increasingly adopting hybrid and multi-cloud strategies, this partnership enables seamless integration between Wiz’s CNAPP solutions and Check Point’s security offerings. This collaboration strengthens defenses against data breaches, ransomware attacks, and advanced persistent threats (APTs)—a growing concern in today’s cloud-driven IT landscape.

Beyond cloud security, Check Point continues to develop its hybrid mesh security platform, designed for businesses operating both on-premises and in the cloud. This architecture optimizes traffic routing for security and performance, addressing challenges in a world where remote work, cloud adoption, and digital transformation are accelerating.

The rise of SASE and zero trust

Another major topic at CPX Bangkok was the industry-wide shift toward Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), a unified security model that integrates networking and security into a single cloud-based solution.

“A direct correlation exists between the rise of SASE adoption and the move to cloud environments,” said Amit Bareket, VP of Secure Service Edge at Check Point. Bareket predicts that by 2025-2026, organizations will aggressively transition to SASE, making cloud security a central pillar of their cybersecurity strategy.

Bareket also emphasized SASE’s role in implementing Zero Trust frameworks: "You can start small, go through onboarding, implement Zero Trust, and slowly migrate from legacy systems to a full SASE framework." This incremental approach ensures organizations can adopt modern security technologies without disrupting existing infrastructure.

Looking ahead: A hyperconnected world demands advanced security

The overarching message from CPX Bangkok 2025 was clear: cybersecurity’s future lies in the convergence of AI, cloud technologies, and strategic industry partnerships.

As businesses operate in an increasingly hyperconnected environment, with a complex web of devices, applications, and data flows, the demand for comprehensive, scalable, and intelligent security solutions has never been greater.
Check Point is positioning itself at the forefront of this evolution — leveraging AI to automate threat detection and collaborating with key industry players to deliver end-to-end security solutions. With a new leadership team in place, the company is poised for continued growth and innovation, particularly in the rapidly expanding APAC region.
