Predictive maintenance, facilitated by video monitoring, reduces the long-term financial impact of infrastructure failures and helps cities manage their resources more efficiently.
 
Additionally, video surveillance systems can monitor energy usage in public spaces, buildings, and streetlights, helping cities optimize power consumption. This not only contributes to sustainability goals but also ensures that urban resources are being used in the most efficient manner possible.
 
By integrating video surveillance with IoT-enabled environmental sensors, cities can track patterns in energy use and make informed decisions about how to reduce waste and promote energy conservation.

This need for integrated solutions is driving up the demand for video surveillance systems worldwide. According to a report by MarketsandMarkets, the global video surveillance market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.2 percent between 2023 and 2028.
 
Several factors are fueling this growth. The proliferation of IoT devices and cloud-based platforms has made it easier for cities to deploy and manage large-scale surveillance systems.
 
At the same time, advancements in AI and machine learning are expanding the capabilities of video surveillance, enabling real-time analytics and predictive insights.
