Secutech 2022: New intelligent solutions for security and beyond
With AI, IoT, wireless connectivity, companies are expanding their product portfolio in and beyond security to deliver more value to customers and partners. This can be clearly seen in Secutech 2022 as we see companies that are shifting directions or adapting new applications to better respond to new demands in the market whether it be due to Covid or new opportunity gaps in the industry.

Note: The below youtube clips are from the same video but are set to start playing when company is featured in it.

A-MTK

A-MTK, an IP surveillance manufacturer that has been in the industry for 15 years chose to highlight their transportation, train and parking solution at Secutech 2022, showcasing their AI cameras, software and NVRs. According to Ed Shen, Sales Manager at A-MTK, the company is an image solution specialist, and AI serves as a tool for them to develop solutions beyond traditional surveillance

“A-MTK’s train solutions have already been applied on several lines on the Taiwan MRT line. We installed around 50-60 AI cameras and integrated them with the train's NVR and screen panel interface. This enabled operators to simultaneously monitor each camera and check their location or internet status. With this solution, operators can remotely monitor each train car instantly and get instant alerts for stragglers or passengers who didn't disembark at the end stop. Drivers or personnel do not need to walk the full length of the train and manually check each train car.” said Shen.

GIS

GIS started out as a touch module and LCD display manufacturer. Shifting to a new direction, the company is highlighting a series of smart IoT solutions for healthcare, smart home and security. “We have adapted the use of different technologies for our smart solutions. For the 3D face recognition device, we used structured light technology. 2D devices can easily be fooled with pictures, but the addition of 3D increases security.  While our 3D fall and 3D body detecting solutions use time-of-flight sensors,” said Sharon Hsu, Sales Specialist, Marketing Department at GIS.

According to Hsu, Taida hospital has already adapted their 3D fall detection in their smart hospital scheme, while the 3D body detecting solution would be more targeted towards use in gyms and physical therapy centers as it can guide proper exercise movement and form as well as be used for people counting.

Goosafe

For Steven Chen, Sales for Goosafe Security Control, the company is making a move beyond turnstiles to offer customers a complete access control portfolio. “We are integrating different systems together now, not just turnstiles. We are offering customers a whole complete solution – hardware, software, cloud services and maintenance services.” Customers can now use the data collected from their access control devices to create a dashboard for real-time central monitoring and run analytics for business intelligence and better operational managment.

Along with turnstiles, speed gates that can be used for train stations, Goosafe also featured what they refer to as the “most lightweight” access control swing gates in the industry (targeted towards museums and areas that might require more aesthetic and compact equipment). Onsite also is their membership and ticketing turnstile solution, which directly connects a payment machine or membership registration device to their turnstiles, creating a smooth flow of operation and a complete access solution.

Waferlock

Waferlock is a smart lock manufacturer that has expanded into smart hotel and smart home solutions as IoT and wireless connectivity became mainstream to allow users to control other devices such as lighting, airconditioning, etc. Along with their digital locking system line, Waferlock also featured several new solutions that have resulted from new demands amid Covid “We now have Wafergo, our robot which can send documents you put in its compartments and deliver it to different departments in the company. We have also developed the Waferbox. The delivery person can place the items into the cabinet which the receiver can access using a password, card or facial recognition. Waferlock has developed different IoT products during this time,” said Johnson Wu, Account Manager for Waferlock.

Another new development highlighted at the show for their smart home and hotel solution is the addition of mobile apps for many of the features.
