Founded in 2012, the Netherlands-based company has found its niche as a solutions provider for smart home and business security, professional security, property management and mobile security. Over the past years, AlarmSecur.com has grown its presence in Asia with local representation in China, Hong Kong and India.
Secutech: Tell us about AlarmSecur.com's platform and the services you offer the market?
Van der Touw: The IoT platform of AlarmSecur.com integrates any sensor triggered device (like an alarm system) with CCTV and will send push notification to your phone 13 seconds video + 2 seconds before the sensor was triggered.
Within the mobile app we offer our customers to upgrade to our premium services (with recurring revenues) like a live video monitoring center, property management control or vehicle management control with integrated facial recognition technology. If an event occurs our control centers can take immediate action like sending a security guard or emergency services to your home, office or vehicle.

Secutech: Which solutions are you highlighting for Asia?
Van der Touw: At the moment we focus on the property management solutions. Smart lock, videophones for houses and apartment buildings. With the property management solutions you can control and monitor multiple videophones and smartlocks in multiple locations from 1 central location. All events are logged and a video of the event is stored in the cloud.
Secutech: Do you see a demand for IoT smart home and business security solutions in this region? How would 5G impact development in this field?
Van der Touw: We see an upcoming market due to the fact that labor is getting more expensive in Asia too. Especially from skilled workers. 5G will lower the costs of sensors and improve life and security in your environment. It will bring challenges but our platform is prepared and the only platform which can integrate sensors with camera feeds. So you know why the sensor went off.
Secutech: What market trends do you see?
Van der Touw: Due to the corona pandemic we see that clients are more interested in virtual solutions. Our platform can integrate any sensor and combine with existing camera directview so no personal contact is needed.
