Hanwha Techwin’s state-of-the-art AI video security solutions unveiled at Intersec
The company showcased its latest AI technologies including Wisenet AI cameras, along with the fully compatible Wisenet SSM and Wisenet Retail Insight.

Global security company Hanwha Techwin, recently captivated audiences at Intersec 2020, the first security exhibition of the year, by revealing its latest innovative AI video surveillance solutions.

With “AI technology” establishing an indispensable role in the video surveillance industry, Hanwha Techwin demonstrated its newest core lineup of state-of-the-art AI solutions including Wisenet AI cameras, which can be combined with Wisenet SSM and Wisenet Retail Insight v2.0, to complete the perfect security package.

Equipped with a powerful artificial intelligence (AI) engine that detects and classifies people and vehicles in real time, Wisenet AI cameras are designed to accurately capture the unique attributes of objects such as faces and license plates, whilst reducing false alarms caused by waving trees, video noise, and even shadows.

Wisenet AI cameras are fully supported by Wisenet’s SSM Video Management Software (VMS), which guarantees reliable AI solutions that have been optimized with the help of a robust AI smart search feature. For example, when the camera detects someone, it captures that person’s distinctive attributes, such as gender, age, color of clothing, and whether that person is wearing glasses or holding a bag. This information is then saved as metadata alongside the captured footage, allowing operators to streamline searches via specific events or objects. This also applies to vehicles, which can be categorized into various types such as cars, buses, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles and its color. Furthermore, when combined with third-party systems, the AI functionality can be further customized and expanded.

To provide a clear demonstration of the AI technology built into the Wisenet AI cameras, Hanwha Techwin’s experiential booth at Intersec 2020 had a live video feed on display which showed how exhibition visitors who passed by the booth were being classified. This was complemented by a demonstration of the Wisenet SSM video management platform so that visitors could have first-hand experience of its seamless AI search functionality.

Wisenet Retail Insight v2.0 utilizes license-free age and gender-based people counting, heatmap and queue management AI applications running on board Wisenet AI cameras to display statistical analytics on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, on a centralized dashboard along with other practical information such as weather reports.

“In line with the recent emergence of AI cameras, Hanwha Techwin will continue to provide market leadership by the introduction of video surveillance technologies,” said a Hanwha Techwin representative at Intersec 2020. “You can rest assured that there’s a lot to look forward to during 2020, during which Hanwha Techwin will be at the forefront of the latest AI trends.”
