X-Sense, a smart home safety technology company known for its connected smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, and home safety systems, partners with Noonlight, a technology company that powers 24/7 professional monitoring and emergency response for connected products, to help turn detected threats into real-world action.
On August 5, 2026, a Noonlight agent responded to an X-Sense SC07-MR Interconnected Smart Smoke and CO alarm at a residential property in Crestview, FL, dispatching the local fire department before the family’s home was lost.
X-Sense, a smart home safety technology company known for its connected smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, and home safety systems, partners with Noonlight, a technology company that powers 24/7 professional monitoring and emergency response for connected products, to help turn detected threats into real-world action.
The incident marked the first confirmed threat across more than 200 X-Sense alarm events handled by Noonlight. Despite the rarity of a true emergency, Noonlight agents quickly recognized when the situation required action and coordinated the appropriate response.
This real-world emergency illustrates how Noonlight and X-Sense work together to turn connected smoke detection into real-world emergency response, and new features like Noonlight’s recently introduced Supervisor Dashboard help ensure unusual or high-priority events receive the attention they require.
From Smoke Detection to Emergency Response
Noonlight had handled more than 6,000 X-Sense alarms prior to this incident, including over 200 consecutive events without a confirmed emergency. Professional monitoring helps customers get assistance when it matters while avoiding unnecessary disruption when it doesn’t by distinguishing between events that require emergency response and those that don’t.
When the August 5 alarm was received, a supervising agent noticed the alarm on Noonlight’s Supervisor Dashboard and jumped directly into the active event to provide additional support. Within one minute of the alarm, the supervisor was on the phone with the customer, who was away from home and asked the agent to stay on the line.
After calling the user, the agent dispatched the local fire department, quickly getting emergency help on the way.
After the incident, the customer messaged the Noonlight agent:
“Cannot thank you all enough! If it wasn't for X-Sense we would have lost our house today!!”
The successful response demonstrates the shared goal behind the X-Sense and Noonlight partnership: helping protect people and their homes by connecting intelligent detection with fast, informed emergency response.
New Noonlight Supervisor Dashboard Adds Real-Time Monitoring Visibility
Introduced in August 2026, Noonlight’s Supervisor Dashboard gives monitoring center supervisors real-time visibility into alarm and verification queues, agent activity, and individual agent performance. Supervisors can also step in and claim active events when additional support is needed, as demonstrated during the August 5 X-Sense fire alarm, when a supervisor used the dashboard to take action.
Beyond the monitoring center, Noonlight’s SendPolice dashboard gives first responders access to critical alarm information to help them make more informed decisions. The dashboard centralizes important details, including where alarms were triggered within the home, additional alarm information, property access codes, and contact information for individuals associated with the household’s profile. This additional context helps first responders better understand the situation before arriving on scene.
Together, these tools improve visibility and information sharing throughout the emergency response process, helping Noonlight’s monitoring teams and first responders take informed action when every second counts.
Another Step Toward Automatic Safety
Real-time visibility into monitoring queue health and metrics strengthens Noonlight’s monitoring capabilities and moves the company closer to its vision of automatic safety.
The August 5th emergency demonstrates that vision in action: an X-Sense device detected a potential threat, Noonlight helped determine when action was needed, and the appropriate emergency response was quickly coordinated—all without requiring the customer to initiate the process themselves.
From X-Sense:
“X-Sense is committed to making home safety more proactive, connected, and accessible,” said Yiming, CEO of X-Sense. “This incident shows how connected detection and professional monitoring can provide important support when homeowners are away or unable to respond immediately. We are grateful for the customer’s trust and for Noonlight’s partnership.”
