After undertaking the construction and 25 years operation of Istanbul new airport that will accelerate Turkey’s rise in the aviation sector, IGA chose the Turkish technology company Proline as a result of a comprehensive evaluation process to ensure the security of the airport.
After undertaking the construction and 25 years operation of Istanbul new airport that will accelerate Turkey’s rise in the aviation sector, IGA chose the Turkish technology company Proline as a result of a comprehensive evaluation process to ensure the security of the airport.
According to the agreement; Proline will ensure airport security by implementing state of the art technologies including intelligent fence, radar, biometric systems and thermal cameras. The system will be supported with fixed and PTZ cameras and intelligent video analytics systems. Within the scope of the project; by high-tech solutions, a secure infrastructure will be created for runways, aprons, terminals and parking lots. Entrances and exits will be biometrically controlled via face and vein recognition technologies. The activities will be monitored on command control centers and thanks to early warning systems, operation centers will be able to make faster decisions. Proline will provide an integrated security system at Istanbul New Airport, which will be the world's largest airport “built from scratch” when it is completed, by using perimeter system security, video system security and access control system security solutions.
Proline CEO Mehmet Doğanyiğit said that they are proud to secure Istanbul New Airport, the largest infrastructure project of Turkey's history, via safe and smart city solutions and added: “In this airport, which is expected to be one of the world's most important passenger traffic hubs, it is planned to offer a capacity of up to 200 million passengers annually when all phases are completed. In areas with such intense traffic, maintaining safety is not possible with traditional control systems and conventional control mechanisms. The smart security systems we will deploy here will minimize potential risks, especially human sourced mistakes. It will be possible to take faster actions thanks to the technologies which are capable of taking preventive actions by making smart decisions. Consequently, the comfort of millions of passengers will be increased.”
