Evolis reorganizes its activity on the American Continent
Evolis announces the reorganization of its US subsidiary with the appointment of a new head of sales and marketing for North America.

To accompany its growth ambition and expand its presence throughout the Americas, Evolis is reorganizing its US operations and will be opening a new office in the North-Eastern part of the country. Headquartered near Boston, this facility will cover all sales and marketing activities as well as technical support for USA and Canada based clients.

Nomination of a new sales director for USA and Canada 

The management of this new office has been entrusted to Xavier Ballarin. A 53-year-old French-American, Xavier has lived and worked in the United States for nearly 20 years, and holds a Master’s degree in engineering as well as in marketing. Having worked for US corporations such as American Power Conversion (APC – Schneider Electric) and 3COM, Xavier has over a decade of experience in the development of indirect sales of high-tech products. He also has nearly fifteen years’ experience in launching e-commerce start-ups.

Creation of a dedicated structure for the LATAM region 

Within the framework of this new organization, Evolis has created a dedicated structure to serve the LATAM region which will continue to be based at the headquarters of Evolis INC. in Miami, Florida. Gerardo Talavera will take the lead of this new entity, capitalizing on his over 20 year’s industry experience, the last 12 years with Evolis during which he largely contributed to the strong development of the American subsidiary.

To complete the reorganization, five new recruitments are planned in 2017 for both the LATAM and the US & Canada operations. Gerardo Talavera and Xavier Ballarin will report to Eirik Bakke, Global Sales Director.

"The American continent is the world’s leading market for card personalization and decentralized card issuance and accounts for 25 percent of Evolis’ sales. With this new organization, Evolis shows its ambition to develop this market in general with a key focus on the banking sector. The instant issuance of payment cards has become the first market for Evolis in the United States,” explains Emmanuel Picot, CEO of Evolis.
