Guidepost Solutions strengthens Investigations and Monitoring Practice
Mark E. Chersevani, who most recently served as the Chief of Forensic Investigations for the Office of the Inspector General Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) of New York, has joined Guidepost Solutions, a global leader in compliance, monitoring, and investigations. Chersevani, an expert in conducting monitorships and complex financial investigations, joins the firm as managing director.
Mark E. Chersevani, who most recently served as the Chief of Forensic Investigations for the Office of the Inspector General Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) of New York, has joined Guidepost Solutions, a global leader in compliance, monitoring, and investigations. Chersevani, an expert in conducting monitorships and complex financial investigations, joins the firm as managing director.

McShane. “He joins Guidepost Solutions at an opportune time as our monitoring practice continues its growth.”

During his public service career, Chersevani held roles as Chief of Forensic Investigations for the Office of the Inspector General MTA, Chief Financial Investigator and Bureau Chief of the Financial Crimes Bureau in the Office of the New York County District Attorney, Chief Financial Investigator for both the Kings County District Attorney’s Office and the Labor Racketeering and Construction Industry Strike Force; and Special Auditor Investigator for the New York Office of the Special State Prosecutor. He has overseen numerous investigations related to allegations of employee dishonesty, fraud, union corruption, corporate compliance, money laundering, and violations of the USA Patriot Act, the Bank Secrecy Act and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Chersevani’s private sector experience includes serving as a partner and managing director of UHY Advisors FLVS.

Chersevani received his bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College and later trained at the Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy, the New York Police Department Academy and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
