Zwipe – developer of biometric authentication technology – is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisbeth Breum from private equity firm Herkules Capital as CFO. Ms. Breum succeeds Steffen Larsen, who takes up the position as Senior Vice President of Products. Ms. Breum begins in her new role 1 March 2016.

In addition to bolstering finance and investor relations, Zwipe continues to strengthen key functions including technology, intellectual property management and manufacturing through several recent hires. In total, Zwipe has hired 10 professionals within engineering, biometrics, manufacturing and intellectual property since October 2015 to support preparations for commercialization and growth within both payment and access control industry verticals.

Having developed the world’s first biometric system that fits into a standard credit card and operates without a battery, the Zwipe payment card has proven its capabilities in pilots and tests performed by leading banks. Further, Zwipe is the industry leader in biometrics credentials for the fast growing Access Control industry with its Zwipe Access and Zwipe ID products, installed at several high security facilities in North and South America and Europe.

Ms. Breum has more than ten years of experience from structured finance and private equity. Since 2011, her role at leading Norwegian private equity firm Herkules Capital has included financial analysis as an Associate and being responsible for relationship management activities comprising fundraising, IR strategy and later investor communication as Manager of Investor Relations. Prior to joining Herkules Capital, Ms. Breum worked six years at Danske Bank within Structured Finance, Acquisition Finance and Relationship Management. Ms. Breum holds an MSc Economics and Business Administration from Toulouse School of Economics in France. She also holds a Certified European Financial Analyst degree from Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).
