Everfocus transforms to be a solution provider

As the trend of big data and IoT continues to urge the security industry to shift their focus to data and content analysis, EverFocus Electronics, a well-known, 20-year-old global security company based in Taiwan, has also been transforming from a device provider to a more comprehensive solution provider. “Our uniqueness and core competency is the fusion of software and hardware,” said Jemmy Huang, Chairman and President of EverFocus Electronics.

Security demands have become quite diverse in this ever-changing environment — systems integrators (SIs) are expecting a system/solution that could easily integrate with different devices, is scalable for future expansion, and be implemented in different verticals. “The unlimited application is what we emphasize on now. Very often, people mistaken intelligent video surveillance features such as people counting, face recognition, or LPR as ‘solutions’ and those ‘solutions’ are slowly becoming a norm in this industry. However, the real art should be how you blend in those features together to make the life of the user simple and much easier, whether the surveillance solution is for bank, campus, or retail stores,” said Huang.

In order to fulfill what SIs really want, and also ensure their projects can be smoothly completed in time, EverFocus has developed an open-platform XMS, which is highly scalable for future expansion and fits the demands of different sectors to serve multiple purposes. The web-based XMS, which is especially beneficial to small- and medium-size projects, features strong compatibility among all sorts of devices including IP cameras, DVRs, smart mobile devices, access control, and so on.

In the future, EverFocus expects to become a service-oriented provider. With the web-based platform, Everfocus aims to transform a great amount of sources and data into useful information for their users.

EverFocus’ Recent Projects in the Middle East and Singapore:

• Qatar Labor City
  • Project was completed in 2014 with more than 3,500 IP cameras. The project is still expanding.
• Qatar W Hotel
  • The project was completed in 2013 with a total of 700 IP cameras. This is the first major IP project EverFocus had in Qatar as well as in the Middle East region. 
• Qatar Crowne Plaza Hotel
  • This project came after the W Hotel project in Qatar and included a total of 1,000 IP cameras.
• U.A.E. GEMS Education School Transportation
  • EverFocus’ mobile solution was implemented across the entire school bus fleet of GEMS Education schools in the U.A.E. since 2013. More than 2,000 mobile DVRs and 10,000 mobile cameras were deployed.
• Oman Petroleum Development
  • ​EverFocus has been chosen to be one of the major brands in the Oman Petroleum Development project since 2013. More than 500 IP cameras have been installed in various sites. EverFocus will continue to play a vital role in the project for the years to come.
• CWT building in Singapore
  • A complex warehouse installed XMS central control platform with IP cameras
