Hoyos, a Puerto Rico-based intellectual property holding company and R&D laboratory, has partnered with Automated Gaming Technologies (AGT), a provider in handling the bulk cash processing demands of the gaming industry, based in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Under the terms of the agreement, AGT will integrate Hoyos' iris recognition technology into their broad range of cash management equipment including sorters, recyclers and handlers. The iris-based identity solution will deliver security for casinos that demands sophisticated cash management systems for fast, efficient and secure operations. The identification of employees responsible for moving large sums of money is of paramount importance in this industry.

“AGT has always been at the forefront of innovation within the cash management industry. By implementing this revolutionary iris scanning technology, we are setting the standard for how casinos can use eyes-only identification to efficiently and securely manage their operations,” said Robert Magnanti, President of AGT.” “The integration of Hoyos' technology will be a transformative measure in the cash processing industry for bulk cash management, distribution, reconciliation and deposit.”

Hoyos has revolutionized the access control and identity management industry by delivering next-generation iris-based systems to companies in the financial services and government sectors.

“We have achieved success in implementing our technology in the banking industry with the deployment of iris scanning devices throughout the Bank of America headquarters,” said Hector Hoyos, CEO of Hoyos. “This partnership will build on our previous expertise in the financial services arena and AGT will leverage our experience and products to bring biometrics technology and the superior security they provide the gaming industry.”
