Vicon Hires Former Dedicated Micros Executive

Vicon Industries , a supplier of integrated IP video surveillance and access control systems, announced the appointment of Mark Provinsal to Vicon's executive ranks as VP, Marketing and Product Management. In this newly created position, which reports directly to Vicon's CEO, Ken Darby, Provinsal will assume responsibility for all Company marketing and product management functions.

Vicon Industries , a supplier of integrated IP video surveillance and access control systems, announced the appointment of Mark Provinsal to Vicon's executive ranks as VP, Marketing and Product Management. In this newly created position, which reports directly to Vicon's CEO, Ken Darby, Provinsal will assume responsibility for all Company marketing and product management functions.


Provinsal, who has more than 10 years of executive experience, was previously the Executive VP of Dedicated Micro's USA, a UK-based security products company. Prior to that, as DM VP, Marketing and Product Strategy, Provinsal was responsible for marketing and product strategy for the Americas, brand development and strategic consulting for global product development. He holds n master's degree in business administration from Vanderbilt University, Owen Graduate School of Management and a bachelor's degree in economics from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

In other management changes at Vicon, Bret McGowan, who previously held the title of VP, U.S. Sales and Marketing, will now serve as VP, Sales. In this role, he will expand his sales responsibilities to include oversight of all of North and South America and the Pacific Rim and also spearhead the company's business development efforts.
