Hikvision Establishes Joint Venture in Russia

Hikvision Digital Technology, a supplier of digital video surveillance products, announced the establishment of a Russian joint venture — ZAO Hikvision — in St. Petersburg. This is the second joint venture established by Hikvision, following Prama Hikvision in India, to strengthen its local touch.

ZAO Hikvision's GM, Anton Kurako, brings a wealth of security experience to the joint venture. A security expert who has spent more than seven years in surveillance, Anton was previously the director of security for Ultra Star. Combining Hikvision's excellent technical know-how with Anton's rich experience, this joint venture will undoubtedly deliver Hikvision's advanced products and solutions to a wider customer base, as well as to position itself a top-ranking player in the growing Russian security market.

The joint venture will enable Hikvision to sell its complete line of products and provide pre- and post-sales technical services in Russian market. These efforts will enhance product delivery, service efficiency and timely troubleshooting. ZAO Hikvision will extend Hikvision's service capability throughout the Russian region, offering comprehensive local services in Russian, including product catalogs, sales and technical support.
