Universal Detection Technology, a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats and provider of counterterrorism consulting and training services, announced it has signed a distribution agreement with M.D. Peled Consulting & Engineering Services (Israel), an Israeli supplier of security technology systems.

Under the new agreement, M.D. Peled will market and distribute Universal Detection Technology's Bio-Weapon Detection Systems to government and private sector users in Israel.

"Universal Detection Technology's partnership with M.D. Peled is a testament to our commitment to equip organizations in the public, private and commercial sector with the tools to help mitigate the risk of bioterrorism attacks," said Jacques Tizabi, CEO of Universal Detection Technology. "UNDT's Bioweapons Detection Systems are being used right now by government agencies, defense contractors and first responders on the front lines of areas that experience bioterrorism everyday, both domestically and internationally.”

M.D. Peled will distribute UNDT's five agent handheld biodetection kits, which recently received certification by the Department of Homeland Security under the SAFETY Act.
