Aimetis, a provider in network video surveillance software, was ranked 7th for revenue among software-only vendors of open platform network video management software in the U.S. in 2008. The ranking was part of the IMS Research Report "The Americas Market for CCTV and Video Surveillance Equipment — 2009 Edition."
"IMS Research estimates the US market for network video surveillance equipment will grow to almost US$2 billion by 2013 and network video management software is projected to be a significant segment of the market," said Gary Wong, a research analyst from IMS Research. "Aimetis have made a start by gaining market share in this rapidly growing market."
"Aimetis is pleased with the adoption of Aimetis Symphony since its launch 18 months ago," said Marc Holtenhoff, CEO of Aimetis. "Aimetis network video management software has been deployed in over 70 countries and is being used by many large organizations and mission critical deployments, including Munich Airport and the 2009 Summit of the U.S."
Aimetis Symphony provides a seamless migration path from analog CCTV to intelligent IP surveillance by allowing end users to mix and match editions on the same server, add cameras in increments of a single camera and easily upgrade from one edition to another, eliminating the need to change hardware or integrate with third-party systems.
