Verint Systems announced that it has further strengthened its position in the public safety market by enhancing its relationship with EADS Defense & Security (DS), a provider in aerospace, defense, security and related services. Involvement in the EADS DS TWISP Application Developer program provides companies, such as Verint, with access to technical documentation, training and test facilities that enable interoperability with the organization's TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) infrastructure systems. This translates into greater flexibility for Verint customers, delivering more options for software interoperability in their public safety environments.
The TWISP program benefits customer organizations by collecting the latest information on solutions available worldwide, providing the opportunity to select from a wide range of proven, tested solutions. Verint technology integrates closely with TETRA — a standard that the EADS DS, through its integrated line of business Security & Communication Solutions endorses and sponsors. The TETRA protocol for trunked radio is widely leveraged throughout the world, including Asia Pacific and South America, and is mandated for use in Europe.
“Gold-level membership in the TWISP program reinforces Verint's ongoing investment in and commitment to satisfying the mission-critical needs of the worldwide public safety market — including TETRA interoperability — with our Audiolog recorder and Impact 360 for Public Safety solution,” said Nancy Treaster, Senior VP and GM of Verint Systems. “As an EADS DS Gold-level TWISP member, users have the assurance that Verint is committed to offering world-class recording software designed specifically for the public safety market. This exciting move now formalizes the support relationship with EADS DS and provides these agencies with access to our broader Impact 360 suite."
“As the standard that allows equipment from multiple vendors to interoperate, TETRA comprises a suite of open, digital trunked radio standards used by the public safety market,” added Dirk Borchardt, CEO of the Security & Communication Solutions integrated line of business of EADS DS. “Through our TWISP program Verint Systems now has insight and access to technical documentation, training and test facilities facilitating their competitive edge.”
