Global Crossing Expands Data Center Contract with Gemalto to Support Services Platform in Latin America

Global Crossing, an IP solutions provider, announced that Gemalto, a provider in digital security, has expanded its data center services to support its platform in Brazil and Latin America. This will allow the company to provide services to important mobile carriers in the region.

"Global Crossing has been our partner for the past three years. Their portfolio of data center services suit our needs and support our strategy for expanding our Managed Services offer in Latin America," said Luis Lemos, Manager of Operational Services for Gemalto.


Currently, Global Crossing provides Gemalto with hosting services for more than 30 servers, security database, Internet access and database services.


"Expanding our relationship with Gemalto demonstrated our commitment to working as a partner with our customers in every area of their business," said Marcos Malfatti, senior Vice President of sales for Global Crossing in Brazil. "We understand the huge impact that 3G is expected to bring to our region and we are happy to continue supporting Gemalto as it expands its services."


Global Crossing's growing data center footprint offers facilities in 16 major cities worldwide to provide businesses access to their critical customers and business partners. In Brazil, the company has data center facilities in the cities of S?o Paulo, Curitiba and Rio de Janeiro.
