Mace Security to Focus on Security Growth in Latin America for 2009

Mace Security International announced that as part of its 2009 strategy to increase top line sales, the company made a commitment to focus on growing its security division's sales in the Latin American market.

For the first time, Mace will be exhibiting at the Expo Seguridad Trade Show in Mexico City on April 21, 2009, where it will roll-out new products and the Spanish version of its new trade show booth and security products catalog. Mace will also be making a product and technical presentation to attendees at the show.

During 2009, Mace also plans to produce a Spanish version of its macepro.com web site.

"Latin America is a thriving market for security products,” said Dennis Raefield, President and CEO of Mace. “Over the last few years, we have seen significant interest from Latin American dealers and large distributors to purchase our products because of the famous Mace brand name. Latin American dealers are very brand aware, shun no-name products, and expect their vendors to respond to them in their language. Mace has an experienced Spanish-speaking staff in both sales and technical support. This dealer interest is evidenced by the seven new customers that we have already signed in Latin America since February 2009. As I have previously stated, my number one priority in 2009 is to increase top line revenue, even in this poor economy. Our aggressive push into the Latin American market this year is another step towards increasing Mace sales.”
