Built on Dell Technologies infrastructure, BCD's new solution connects field evidence collection, AI-powered processing, investigative collaboration, and long-term preservation without requiring agencies to replace existing systems.
BCD, a leading provider of purpose-built video infrastructure solutions, today announced the upcoming official launch of BCD Digital Asset Engine (DAE) at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Annual Conference and Exposition, taking place October 25–27, 2026.
Built on Dell Technologies infrastructure, Digital Asset Engine is a vendor-neutral digital evidence workflow solution designed to help law enforcement agencies capture, authenticate, process, manage, and preserve digital evidence throughout its lifecycle.
As law enforcement agencies collect increasing volumes of body-worn camera footage, surveillance video, mobile recordings, and other digital evidence, managing this information across disconnected systems has become increasingly complex. BCD Digital Asset Engine addresses these challenges by connecting evidence workflows from the point of collection through investigation, sharing, and long-term retention.
"Law enforcement agencies don't need another disconnected system adding complexity to their investigations," said David Wedel at BCD. "With Digital Asset Engine, we're bringing together the infrastructure, intelligence, and workflows agencies need to make digital evidence more accessible, actionable, and secure. Our goal is to help investigators spend less time managing files and more time focusing on their cases."
One Platform. Three Purpose-Built Solutions.
BCD Digital Asset Engine brings together three integrated solutions designed to support the complete digital evidence lifecycle:
BCD Field Intelligence System (FIS): Capture and Normalize
Powered by Dynamic Workflow Solutions and deployed on Dell ruggedized hardware, FIS enables law enforcement personnel to collect, authenticate, and process digital evidence directly in the field. The solution supports proprietary video format normalization, evidence authentication, and AI-assisted workflows, including operation in environments with limited or no network connectivity.
BCD Digital Asset Engine Workspace: Investigate and Collaborate
A centralized environment for investigative teams to organize evidence, collaborate on cases, search across digital assets, and manage evidence workflows. Integrated capabilities support transcription, translation, and investigative review, helping agencies streamline evidence preparation and information sharing. Voice, video, and data redaction are also enabled on the platform via Pimloc Redact.
BCD Archival Services: Preserve and Protect
Integrated evidence storage and lifecycle management capabilities enable agencies to preserve digital assets across on-premises, cloud, and offline storage environments. Policy-driven retention, data protection, and flexible storage options help agencies manage growing evidence volumes while maintaining control over sensitive information.
Built on Dell Technologies. Designed for Real-World Public Safety Demands.
BCD Digital Asset Engine combines BCD's experience in purpose-built video infrastructure with Dell Technologies' compute, ruggedized hardware, and enterprise storage platforms.
The solution supports agency-controlled, hybrid, and cloud deployment models, allowing organizations to modernize evidence workflows while continuing to leverage existing digital evidence management systems and infrastructure.
Through an ecosystem of specialized technology partners, including Dynamic Workflow Solutions (DWS), Pimloc, and SWEAR, BCD Digital Asset Engine brings together advanced capabilities for digital evidence processing and management.
Integrated through DWS, SWEAR provides an independent evidence authentication capability that creates a unique digital fingerprint of video evidence, establishing an independent chain of custody to help verify authenticity, identify potential alterations, and preserve evidentiary integrity throughout the investigative process. This additional layer of independent verification strengthens confidence in digital evidence from collection through courtroom presentation.
Experience Digital Asset Engine at IACP 2026
BCD will officially introduce Digital Asset Engine at IACP 2026, where attendees will have the opportunity to learn how the solution supports digital evidence workflows from capture to courtroom.
Law enforcement leaders, investigators, evidence managers, and public safety technology professionals are invited to connect with BCD at the Dell Technologies booth 2929 to explore the solution and discuss their agencies' digital evidence challenges.
