Asmag notes
According to the company’s growth report, Ajax’s reported revenue increased by 35% in 2022. This was amid the company relocating its factories, opening a new factory in Turkey and expanding its business into the North and South American markets.

Quick brief on some of the Ajax technologies mentioned above:
  • Jeweller, Wings
These are the two proprietary radio protocols Ajax uses to ensure reliable communication between connected  devices. Jeweller transmits commands, events, and alarms with a maximum range of 2,000 meters, while Wings facilitates photo transmission up to 1,700 meters. Ajax two-way radio communication uses frames for synchronization, authentication mechanisms to thwart forgery, and encryption protocols to safeguard transmitted data.
  • OS Malevich
Real-time operating system that manages the operation of Ajax security systems control panels and range extenders
  • JetSparrow technology
Ajax's video streaming technology for streamlined VMS experience, efficient archive browsing and delay-free live views.

asmag: How do you see the Middle East security market? What business opportunities do you see in the market?

Roumieh: The security market in 2024 is promising in the Middle East in general, especially with the huge projects in Saudi Arabia. Also with the new rules to focus on alarms in addition to CCTV, this will help our customers in the market as we provide a platform for monitoring of alarms from thousands of remote sites to a single monitoring station which is still missing in the security market in the Middle East.

Most of the countries in the Middle East region are trying to add the latest technologies and solutions to increase the level of security and safety, but the challenge here is the absence of infrastructure to install new systems. With Ajax we provide stable and reliable wireless solutions without the need for any cables and infrastructure which helps to use these new technologies and solutions with the old and existing buildings, sure we have wired systems as well.

asmag: Can you tell us what you highlighted at Intersec Dubai 2024?

Roumieh: Ajax Systems is a leading European manufacturer for security and comfort, fire safety, water-leak prevention and video surveillance. During our stand in Intersec Dubai 2024, we showed all our product range and highlighted our new products like CCTV and wired “Fibra” Grade 3.

With these products, we are targeting residential and commercial customers and projects. Integrating all these products together helps to provide a complete platform for security, automation, water leakage, CCTV, and fire, in addition to the integration with 3rd party systems.

Asmag notes
Here is a closer look at their new products: CCTV and wired “Fibra” Grade 3.

  • Video surveillance
In Q4 2023, Ajax introduced its Baseline product line, which includes TurretCam, BulletCam, and DomeCam Mini cameras powered by JetSparrow technology. These IP65 AI-embedded security cameras seamlessly connect with the Ajax ecosystem and Ajax Cloud for event transmission. Additionally, 8-CH and 16-CH NVRs integrate with Ajax VMS, providing instant access to video archives and customizable virtual video wall with TLS encryption.

This addresses a key priority in the region. "The Middle East market focuses on CCTV as a security, in Ajax we care about the importance of alarm systems which help to avoid problems before they happen, now with our new CCTV products we are coming with the alarm and CCTV in the same platform which is an added value for increasing the security level in the Middle East,” said Roumieh.

  • Wired Fibra Grade 3
While the Middle East market shows a preference for wireless devices, there remains a need for wired solutions, particularly in certain projects. Ajax's Fibra combines wired reliability with radio flexibility, connecting multiple Ajax wired devices or detectors within a 2,000-meter range on a single Fibra line. It supports 60 hours of operation for a system with 30 devices on the backup battery, advanced anti-sabotage features, photo verifications, easy installation and remote configuration via an app.

What does “Grade 3” mean? Ajax recently achieved grade 3 certification (EN 50131) for its devices. This certification signifies that the devices can be used to safeguard large enterprises and high-risk facilities against intruders with professional skills and tools.

asmag: Are there any upcoming products or solutions scheduled for release in 2024 that our readers can anticipate?

Roumieh: Ajax Systems always attracts our partners with new products, we will continue developing our CCTV and home automation products for this year. So stay tuned to see our newly released product!
