Now, Dahua has rolled out their DeepHub Smart Classroom Solution, following the success of the DeepHub whiteboards launched in 2022. “Digital education is a global trend during these years. Dahua actively participates in the construction of digital education, fulfilling the mission of science and technology for future education,” said Sophie Pan, Enterprise Solution Manager at Dahua Technology. “We’re excited to introduce our Smart Classroom Solution, which targets K-12 education, higher education and training education segments.”
Cutting-edge hardware and software
The solution employs various hardware and software to ensure powerful performance and a great user experience. At the heart of the solution is the DeepHub whiteboard, which includes two series, Lite and Pros, both available in sizes ranging from 65 to 86 inches and featuring 4K displays. “The Lite series is highly competitive and well-received among budget-conscious customers. The Pro series, meanwhile, offers additional high-end features including of 8-core high performance processing CPU, Type-C with 65W PD charging; optional plug-in camera and built-in 8 array mic, among others,” Pan said.
DeepHub Education Software Suite is also included to further unleash the powers of the Smart Classroom Solution. “The suite includes DeepHub Class, which offers various subject teaching tools to increase student interaction; DeepHub Canvas, which realizes shape and handwriting recognition, online image and video search; and DeepHub Board, which gathers creative ideas with the help of sticky notes, voting, images, videos and drawing capabilities,” Pan added.
Four teaching scenarios
The solution targets four teaching scenarios, namely lecture, seminar, hybrid and sharing. In the process, teachers and students are empowered to freely share ideas, take part in discussions and access course materials no matter where they are or what device they’re using. Lecture: Encouraging deeper participation and higher inspiration
In the lecture scenario, the solution allows the teacher to prepare lessons at home or in the office across devices and sync them to the cloud automatically, allowing the teacher to lecture attractive lessons and improve student outcomes. Other feature highlights include rich game-based activities and customized teaching resources, one-click setup for various subject tools and widgets, 1,000-plus dynamic and engaging learning simulations, and convenient files and objects demo via document camera.
Seminar: Transforming classrooms into hubs of creativity
In the seminar scenario, the Smart Classroom Solution allows group discussions and cross-school seminars to be conducted on a free canvas. The DeepHub board makes the seminar no longer limited by location as different teams can operate the canvas at the same time, brainstorming and being creative. Editing on the whiteboard can be done at any time and any place, supporting over 200 students and over 1,000 viewers at the same time. It allows users to insert files of multiple formats, as well as media resources, any websites and web-based products. Further, over 100 built-in cases and over 1,000 preset templates are available, making seminar collaboration more visualized and efficient.
Hybrid: Joining learning and interacting in real time from anywhere
In the hybrid teaching scenario, the solution effectively breaks classroom boundaries, connecting online and offline attendees. The teacher can interact with both online and offline students conveniently, knowing online students’ learning status in real time. Online students, meanwhile, can have the same experience as those sitting in the classroom, taking lessons at home and interacting with teachers and classmates. Students can also interact with contents shared by the teacher through their own devices in real time.
Sharing: Accumulating knowledge for the future, empowering more with one
The solution allows access to live or recorded classes and easy content sharing. It offers a cost-effective sharing option – students can listen to the class by opening the link directly and review the lesson after class if needed – as well as a professional sharing option, suitable for the students in remote classrooms to attend class. Classroom camera embedded with deep learning algorithm can realize real-time accurate tracking of teaching activity to provide the students an immersive learning experience. Integration with third-party platform to provide rich course resources is also available.
