Iris ID features latest advancements in biometric identification technology at ISC West 2023

Iris ID features latest advancements in biometric identification technology at ISC West 2023
Suite of products transform identities into tokenless entities for faster, more accurate authentication.
Iris ID, the global leader in iris recognition technology for 25 years, is exhibiting its comprehensive range of iris recognition and dual biometric identity authentication solutions at ISC West 2023, March 29-31 in Las Vegas. A selection of Iris ID’s identity authentication hardware solutions are on display at booth ISC West #12115.

“Biometrics and specifically iris recognition technology are undoubtedly gaining traction nationally and internationally. During FIFA, more than 1.4 million passengers were authenticated using Iris ID iris recognition technology and recently the FBI has begun to encourage law enforcement agencies and corrections facilities across the United States to adopt iris technology”, said Mohammed Murad, Vice President, Iris ID. “We are excited to bring the technology to mainstream applications such as access control, and time and attendance and look forward to educating and continuing the conversation on the benefits of biometric authentication.”

Biometrics are widely regarded as a superior means of identity authentication due to their tokenless nature. Based on physical characteristics instead of a physical token, biometric identity solutions are known for their unique ability to safeguard against credential and identity theft. Iris biometrics are renowned for their long-term stability, unmatched search speed, and accuracy. The use of biometrics for authentication purposes are generally opt-in applications with users consenting to the enrollment and use of their biometric for purposes of access, time and attendance, etc. This effectively eliminates the surveillance concerns often affiliated with biometrics, as these solutions do not scan crowds looking for individuals.

Visitors to ISC West booth #12115 can browse a suite of Iris ID solutions, including the iCAM7111S-H1T from the iCAM 7S Series of Advanced Multifactor Biometric Iris Readers, the first iris biometric devices tested and verified to meet the Security Industry Association (SIA) Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) Secure Profile communications standard for access control security and interoperability. By meeting OSDP standards, the Iris ID iCAM 7S Series solutions achieve increased interoperability for use among various manufacturers’ devices. Additional products on display include the iCAM D2000, iCAM M300, iCAM TD100, iCAM T10, iCAMR100, iBAR 600 (IrisBar), and IrisTime iT100.

Since 1997, Iris ID has been the key developer and driver of the commercialization of iris recognition technology. IrisAccess, now in its sixth generation, is the world’s most deployed iris recognition platform. More people in more places authenticate with IrisAccess than with all other iris recognition products combined. Iris ID’s biometric solutions are frequently deployed for commercial applications such as access control, National ID and time and attendance, but are also heavily utilized in the private sector by top local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), for public safety and justice applications.
