Ajax Systems introduced Fibra wired products at the Special Event

Ajax Systems introduced Fibra wired products at the Special Event
new wired product line to complement the wireless Jewel products
On 2 December, Ajax Systems presented multiple substantial additions to their wireless security systems and unveiled Fibra — a groundbreaking, wired technology with the product line of the same name. The company's representatives showed the first Ajax hybrid control panel, introduced the new hub versions supporting 4G and demonstrated a few products for local markets.

This year’s presentation was watched by partners and users from over 150 countries. The online event was broadcast in 14 languages at once: Ukrainian, English, Russian, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Turkish, Arabic and Greek.
The event video is also available on youtube

Fibra: one more link the Ajax ecosystem

One of the most common requests from the industry professionals is for a hybrid security system. The combination of wires and radio allows you to cover large and industrial facilities. Ajax engineers focused on a technology that inherits wireless user experience. The expertise developed since 2011 results in Fibra.

The new wired line of Fibra devices has inherited all the advantages of the Jeweller wireless line. Data transmission that is encrypted and protected from sabotage, unprecedented range and energy efficiency, remote control and maintenance, the fastest possible installation — everything that users love about Ajax systems.

Fibra communication protocol ensures smooth system operation and the highest energy efficiency. Thanks to it, the detectors consume tens of microamperes, which is 100 times less than the industry average for digital wired detectors. Such low power consumption allows more devices to be connected on a single line and enables longer wired connections.

Another revolutionary aspect of Fibra is the easy installation of wired devices. With Fibra, you can use any combination of devices on a line: connect one detector or dozens of different detectors, sirens, or keypads. With a line length of 2,000 meters, Ajax can cover even a multi-floor building.

The first Fibra release will include nine devices that almost completely copy the wireless line: MotionProtect, MotionProtect Plus, DoorProtect, DoorProtect Plus, GlassProtect, CombiProtect, KeyPad, HomeSiren, StreetSiren.

Hub Hybrid: synergy of wired and wireless technologies

Specifically for the Fibra product line, a new hub was developed which supports both wired and wireless detectors. Hub Hybrid let connect up to 100 devices, with any ratio of wired to wireless. With built-in Jeweller and Wings antennas and 8 Fibra bus inputs, you have almost an infinite number of system configurations. It is easy to build a star topology with any number of devices on a line, or use eight lines as traditional alarm zones. In both cases, you get an intelligent and reliable Grade-2 system.

The new hub has 3 communication channels — 2 slots for SIM cards and an Ethernet port. If one communication channel fails, the hub will immediately switch to another. There will be two versions available: with a 2G modem and a 2G/3G/4G (LTE) modem.

Hub Hybrid will be available to order in the first quarter of 2022.

Other announcements

In addition to the Fibra line of wired devices, Ajax Systems also presented a number of new products at the presentation. They include:
  • a new version of Hub 2 with a 4G modem for the regions where 2G is not available;
  • a ReX 2 range extender with support of photo verification and Ethernet connection for large and industrial facilities having concrete or steel interferes;
  • a vhfBridge module for instant alarm delivery without Internet which will be used in the cities with unstable Internet connection, mountains, nature reserves or desert areas;
  • a smart Socket (Type G) for the UK and other regions where type G plug is used;
  • a MultiTransmitter integration module supporting 2/3EOL which allows connecting even more various detectors.

Among the new features, photo on demand function was also announced that will be supported by MotionCam series detectors. The feature will be available in the new product line to be released in the first quarter of 2022. So both versions — with and without photo-on-demand support — will be available on the market.
