The new Wisenet X series cameras feature significant, advanced upgrades over the previous X series non-AI cameras launched in 2020. Showcasing Hanwha’s advanced artificial intelligence and deep learning technologies, the new cameras offer industry-leading AI-based object detection false alarm reduction analytics, AI-enhanced image quality and edge-based business intelligence.

At the root of this progress is AI deep learning technology, which improves video analytics and operational efficiency by facilitating image quality and clarity while reducing noise and motion blur and making bandwidth more effective. Conventional cameras discern people or events based on pixels and may flag as relevant things that users would like to ignore. The AI deep learning algorithm allows the detection of meaningful objects and can distinguish human faces, vehicles and license plates.

“Technology advancements are raising the surface points of threats but simultaneously giving us more sophisticated tools to detect them – whereby AI is able to do so with greater accuracy and context, especially when applying them in security cameras across various industries. Our new Wisenet AI Series cameras is a testament to how we continue to leverage our technical prowess in having AI tech which can improve our products’ efficiency and quality to provide our customers with the best surveillance solutions available today,” said Sungin Noh, Head of the AI R&D Center at Hanwha Techwin.
