The rapid growth in urban population has accelerated the adoption of smart transportation as part of the smart city initiative across the globe to reduce traffic congestion, increase public safety and improve quality of living. As one of the essential elements to building a
smart city, the intelligent transportation system marker size is expected to grow to US$57,195 million by 2022, at a CAGR of 8.7 percent, according to KBV research.
