Numera expands mobile PERS market with new monitoring service providers
To help mobile health and wellness dealers grow their business, Nortek Security & Control announced the appointment of five new monitoring service providers for the Numera Libris 2 – the next generation of its popular mobile personal emergency response, fall detection solution (mPERS).
To help mobile health and wellness dealers grow their business, Nortek Security & Control announced the appointment of five new monitoring service providers for the Numera Libris 2 – the next generation of its popular mobile personal emergency response, fall detection solution (mPERS). The new service providers include the National Monitoring Center (NMC) in Lake Forest, California; Lifesafety/STAAR Alert/ASA in Munhall, Pennsylvania; Towne Monitoring in Souderton, Pennsylvania; Statewide Monitoring in Staten Island, New York; and AMR/Life365 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

“Numera now partners with more monitoring stations than ever before. This is important to our dealer base, as it lets them select the monitoring station with the right terms, pricing and staff to best fit their needs,” said Michael Pirie, Nortek Security & Control Vice President of Health & Wellness. “Ultimately, this helps them deliver the best service possible to their customers and families.”

The new service providers specifically support the recently-introduced Numera Libris 2 mPERS, which includes a number of important features, including advanced automatic fall detection, free-fall recognition, and 3-dimensional space analysis. Its voice recognition capabilities enable far-field recognition and a potential target range of 10-11 feet. The new Libris 2 mPERS ships with 4G/LTE support, and its new technology delivers clear communication made possible with its new microphone and speaker. Users can also enjoy enhanced commands, including LIBRIS Help, Power Off, and volume controls.

“Our dealers have asked for more choice in selecting monitoring stations,” added John Carpenter, Vice President of Channel Engagement for Numera. “And of course, this helps more seniors successfully age in place while providing their families with more peace-of-mind.”

In addition to these new monitoring stations, Numera service providers include VRI Cares in Franklin, Ohio; Rapid Response Monitoring in Syracuse, New York; Guardian Medical Monitoring in Southfield, Michigan; and Security Central, American Two-Way in North Hollywood, California.
