Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media and Worldex GEC are to jointly host two international security and smart home technology events, Global Digital Security & Solutions Forum (GDSF) Thailand 2016, and SMAhome Thailand 2016, between 1-3 September 2016 at BITEC, in Bangkok.
The two technology events are complete with seminars to update international security and smart home trends as well as an exhibition and global smart technology display zone.
There are three major seminars, supporting the high-rise building business, hotels, real estate developments, retail outlets, and government city administration. The seminar subjects are Security and Safety for High-Rise Buildings and Property Projects; Safe City for a Smart City; and Lighting Design and Smart Home Solutions for the Real Estate Business. The keynote speakers are Thailand's leading industry experts.
There will also be technology seminars by leading international names on various topics, for example IoT Applications in the Security Industry, Video Applications for a Smart City, Big Data, the Data Technology Era, and the Role of Storage and Tech for Home Control.
Veronica Chen, Group Manager of Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media (MFNE), one of the world's leading international trade fair organizers and organizer of Secutech, the world's biggest security trade fair, said, “The security market has been growing continuously. The global physical security market is predicted to grow from US$65.4 billion in 2015 to $105.3 billion by 2020, about 10 percent each year on average.
“Asia will be the main driver of the growth. The ASEAN region will be strong, projected to average 4.6 percent growth in 2015 and 5.2 percent over 2016 to 2020.
“Private consumption is a large contributor as well, with large investments by the residential, retail, and hospitality sectors. A smart city policy in each country compliments the growth of security solutions. It is also anticipated that global unit shipments of smart city devices, which are internet-connected devices used in smart city projects, will increase from 115.4 million in 2015 to 1.2 billion in 2025.”

Thailand's smart home solutions market value is forecast to reach 645 million baht in 2016 and 2,500 million baht in 2020, a compound annual growth rate of 40 percent. This growth is concurrent with the development of the security industry.
