In regard to the riot earlier this year, Hoang Qui Hop, GM of T&T Security observes that since the riot, companies are working more closely with authorities for more assistance. “They get information about their workers from local police, and the human resources department also pays more attention to the employees and job attendees.”
The recent event is a turning point for the security industry, as it raises awareness and people are realizing the importance of security. According to Hop, “I think it is better for the security industry. Many more people are interested in security, and many foreign companies with security businesses are interested in Vietnam, like Pinkerton, Chubb Security, Securitas. Those companies take care of their global customers in Vietnam, not only the security guards service, but also the security system.”
