The Brunei Industrial Development Authority (BINA) is investing an initial $500,000 to redevelop the Beribi Industrial Estate, a move that is expected to bring in more investors and create more jobs.
The investment will be used to finance the beautification of the estate, the first phase of the Beribi Estate Master Plan Development which aims to upgrade Beribi into an eco-friendly automotive industrial zone.
“There is a need to enhance the estate's image, upgrade its facilities and infrastructure enabling it to become more attractive and appealing to investors,” Acting BINA Director Hj Metassan Hj Abd Salim said in yesterday's briefing.
To this end, BINA has appointed landscaping firm K.N. Nursery (B) to carry out beautification works at the Beribi Industrial Estate. The company signed a contract with BINA at its headquarters in Beribi yesterday morning.
