Vietnam Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has proposed Vietnam and Indonesia introduce more incentives to allow businesses from both countries to work towards achieving a two-way trade of $10 billion.

Dung said in his meeting with Indonesian Speaker of People's Consultative Assembly, Sidarto Danusubroto that both countries should boost cooperation in trade, investment, and tourism.

Vietnam and Indonesia should also enhance collaboration in science and technology, culture, education, security and defence, and increase people-to-people exchanges, Dung said.

"I hope both sides will exert more effort to realize agreements signed earlier for mutual growth," he told Sidarto.

At the same time, Dung called on both countries to continue their close coordination at regional and international forums while working together to contribute to the development of the ASEAN.

Sidarto on his part said outcomes of bilateral cooperation in the past years had benefited the development of both countries.

He urged both sides to continue to enhance cooperation in all fields and share experiences in socio-economic development.
