TOS Energy Malaysia Sdn, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Toshiba Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, will now add social infrastructure to its business portfolio.
This allows Toshiba to offer customers a one-stop solution in key business segments and in products ranging from power plants to industrial products such as motors and drives.
Toshiba Asia Pacific is a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Toshiba Corporation.
In a statement today, Toshiba Asia Pacific said the move by TOS Energy Malaysia, will enable it to expand its activities and reinforce operating capabilities.
Toshiba has been undertaking business in Malaysia since 1968, initially in consumer products.
Toshiba Asia Pacific said the Malaysian reinforcement is aligned with the Toshiba Group's strategy of strengthening sales operations in promising markets.
"The reinforcement of TOS Energy Malaysia will allow us to provide closer support for Malaysia's continuing development towards a fully developed country by 2020 as envisioned by the Malaysian government," it added.
