The new Regional Integration Center for Transportation promises improved service and support for Singapore's rail networks.

Run by aerospace and transportation giant, Thales, the centre will help develop custom solutions for the country's train systems.

Thales is rolling out improvements to the signaling systems of the North-South and East-West lines.
This will allow trains to run at improved frequencies, enhancing performance by 20% and translating to less waiting time for commuters.

The Thales center will also develop ground transportation solutions for countries in the region, using Singapore as a base.
