With more than two decades on the Thai security scene, Thai Secom continues on its path to set new standards in catering to changing needs in security services. As a permanent figure in high-end segments such as banking, the company has started spreading its wings to cover mid-level markets such as fast food chains, convenience stores and car dealerships. Director Sukasom Shuangshoti believes the market is ripe and right, thanks to much improved Internet infrastructure, strong demand, and the maturation of alarm-monitoring technology.

To better serve the fast-growing retail segment, Thai Secom offers everything from basic burglar alarm and fire alarm, to monitored alarm services with video verification and two-way audio. “Our comprehensive services provide excellent opportunities to increase market share as an estimated 30% of the existing customers will upgrade to video-enhanced alarm, while having additional opportunities to approach potential customers such as sales counters of department stores,” Shuangshoti said. “These counters used to rely heavily on security measures provided by department stores while some would deploy their own surveillance cameras. However, our video-enhanced services provide an extra layer of security for event prevention and faster response to theft and shrinkage. The same approach can be applied to other retail outlets such as convenience stores.”
