After the setback in the domestic car market in August, Indonesia's automotive industry ascertained that there will be an improvement of up to 41% in September's car-selling sales.

According to the Association of Indonesia Automotive Industries, the number of cars sold in August dropped by 30.5%, compared to the 112,180 units in July, but the situation should be reversed in September after the Eid Al Fitr holiday. Amelia Tjandra, MD of Astra Daihatsu Motor, echoed the forecast.

Indonesian International Motor Show 2013, however, will not generate too much impact domestically within the remainder of the year, but 2014 is poised to continue on a growth path as the working class becomes more affluent.
