Reflecting the market trend and urgency for increased collaboration between cross-functional teams and partners, a notable element of ISC West 2019 was the strong mix of end-user security and public safety decision makers, in addition to highly-influential security Integrators-Dealers-and-Installers. As cyber/IT, operational technology and physical security technologies and processes continue to converge, the audience profile at ISC West is mirroring and simulating these industry trends.

“The lines between physical security and cyber security are continuing to blend, and so are team dynamics. Organizational readiness and structures were key trends this year, and we were pleased to feature even more education sessions and training to specifically address converged security operations, balanced with core public safety topics,” said Will Wise, Group Vice President, Security Portfolio, Reed Exhibitions.

Amid its featured exhibits, including Unmanned Security Expo, Connected Security Expo, Public Security & Safety Expo, Connected Home Pavilion and the Emerging Technology Zone, the event saw impressive new solutions growth, particularly with the Emerging Technology Zone (startups) and Connected Security Expo, where exhibit space grew by 47% and 15% this year, respectively.

Among its wide variety of education sessions, some of the most highly-attended sessions included Next Generation Security: The Truths, The Myths, The Future of Fusion Centers and Security Operations; The Convergence of Cyber and Physical Security – a Shared Responsibility, Perimeter Security Best Practices for Protecting Critical Infrastructure Resources and in addition to the Active Shooter Workshop and ISC West Keynote Series Sessions featuring William N.
