This 19-20 March at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the 21st Annual Asia Pacific Rail will welcome over 2,000 rail leaders from across the region to explore opportunities in this rapidly expanding market.
Asia Pacific is one of the fastest-growing rail markets in the world, with over 40,000km of projects planned or under construction. This 19-20 March at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the 21st Annual Asia Pacific Rail will welcome over 2,000 rail leaders from across the region to explore opportunities in this rapidly expanding market. 

Under the overarching theme of the digitisation of rail, the event will open with a series of intimate keynote interviews with leading rail authorities and operators from across the region: Dr Jacob Kam, Managing Director – Operations and Mainland Business, MTR Corporation, BC Yen, President, Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation and Chua Chong Kheng, Deputy CEO, Land Transport Authority, Singapore will share their insights on the key disruptors and developments transforming the metro systems in their cities before coming together for a panel discussion to explore strategies for handling the changing transport ecosystem and the looking ahead to the next generation rail and metro system in the region. 

Further building on the key theme of digital rail, Adi Lau, Operations Director, MTR Corporation and Neal Lawson, Chief Operating Officer, Metro Trains Melbourne will be leading the discussions with fellow Operation Directors and COO on the opportunities for rail operators that game-changing technologies like artificial intelligence, IoT and blockchain in rail systems are creating. Dr Tony Lee, Chief of Operations, MTR Corporation and Rishi Dutta, Chief Information Officer, Public Transport Victoria also will be delivering keynote presentations exploring the power of big data.
