Philips introduces new HomeKit-compatible smart table lamps and fixtures
Philips Lighting is extending the Philips Hue smart lighting products, including the White Ambiance fixtures and table lamps and the Philips Hue White Ambiance candle bulb.

Consumers will have one light to support all of their daily activities, Philips Lighting says in a statement. “With Philips Hue White Ambiance, you can personalize your lighting,” said Mark Cieri, Vice President & General Manager of Home Systems at Philips Lighting U.S.

“Think about all of the moments you enjoy in your kitchen. Select a cool daylight scene for your morning coffee to energize for the day ahead. Help your child focus on their homework with a bright white light. Then, create a cozy ambiance for dinner under a warm light to wind down,” elaborated Cieri.

The range of Philips Hue White Ambiance fixtures and table lamps are designed to give consumers the white light needed to help wake up and energize, concentrate, read, relax and go to sleep naturally.

The company says with a timeless and elegant style, the lights can be placed anywhere in the home. The products have the Philips Hue White Ambiance connected lighting technology built-in and feature powerful light output (up to 3000 lumens).

The Philips Hue White Ambiance Wellner and Wellness table lamps are designed to fit with any interior. They come with a Philips Hue White Ambiance A19 light bulb (800 lumens) for customizable white light to support homeowners’ daily activities. Philips Hue connected lighting system can be used in 80% of sockets in common households worldwide.

Also, the new Philips Hue White Ambiance candle bulb allows consumers to further extend the connected lighting experience. The candle bulb features the smaller E12 base, ideal for ceiling fan, chandelier or decorative table lamps. The 40W-equivalent candle bulb has 450 lumens; it joins the current Philips Hue White Ambiance range, which also includes the traditional A19 bulb, GU10 spot light and BR30 downlight.

All Philips Hue products can be controlled via smartphone or tablet with the Philips Hue app, the Philips Hue wireless dimmer switch, the Philips Hue motion sensor and wearables.

Users can also control them with voice. In addition, they can remotely control lights wherever they are, and set timers, notifications and alarms for the full Philips Hue experience.
